Fillcrete Fillaboard Expansion Joint Strip 2.4m x 150 x 12mm

The Fillcrete Fillaboard Expansion Joint Strip 2.4m x 150 x 12mm (L x W x T) is a high quality bitumen impregnated fibreboard ideal for use in expansion joints for concrete. Fillaboard is highly resistant to moisture penetration and ice formation in joints. It remains permanently resilient and is resistant to dry and wet rot, fungus attack and other similar forms of deterioration. The product can be sealed using cold applied polymeric sealants, but where liquid hydrocarbons such as shuttering oil, petrol, diesel fuels and other solvents may be present should be sealed a fuel resistant sealant. The product is manufactured using timber fibres from wood waste. The bitumen individually coats and becomes an integral part of each fibre ensuring it cannot be exuded or stain surrounding concrete. This product has extremely low embodied energy and uses the natural lignin in cellulose to bind the fibres of the board together. The expansion joint can be easily cut with sharp hand tools. The Fillaboard will absorb water if subjected to prolonged wetting.
