Caterina Wokoh - Regional Sales Director (London & South East)
Shaping the future is at the heart of Caterina’s passion in her role as regional sales director for Jewson Civils Frazer. Joining the business in July 2021, Caterina has a wealth of experience in a broad range of sales environments, but it’s the opportunity of working in a business with big ambition, matched by a clear vision for the future, that most excites Caterina. She tells us more about her career journey so far and what she brings to her role at Jewson Civils Frazer.
“Leaving school, I had real drive to get into work and explore a sales career. I was pretty determined to succeed and spent the first few years working across a number of luxury brands in the retail and automotive industry. Reflecting on this period, it taught me the fundamentals of sales around negotiation and customer services but I recognised that a degree level management qualification would really advance my career.”
Graduating from the University of Westminster with a business management degree, Caterina joined a leading waste management business and it was here that she honed her leadership and sales skills, Caterina also nurtured a deep interest in the wider issue of achieving net zero carbon and the impact business has on this seismic journey. After leaving the waste management industry and joining the construction sector, this move has allowed Caterina to further develop her natural interest in the sustainability agenda and today, in her role at Jewson Civils Frazer, she is more determined than ever to contribute to the important challenges we face as a sector, she tells us more: “Two things about Jewson Civils Frazer really stood out to me when I was doing my research. First, the impact we can have on Making the World a Better Home. This is a strong narrative and I’m really excited about working with our customers and supply chain to make this real. We need to be action orientated and as soon as I spent time with sales director Nick Boyle, I knew this vision was more than words on a website – this is a business that is truly shaping the future and I’m completely dedicated to being part of a team that is making that happen.
“The second part for me is all about diversity and inclusion and the impact we can make as a business in creating an industry that welcomes talent regardless of ethnicity or background. What I really respect about Jewson Civils Frazer is the open acknowledgement that we are not where we need to be, but we know what we need to do to get there. Part of that journey is about working collaboraively to create an environment where we can have those conversations.
