Graeme Price has more than 30 years' experience in the construction industry and is Technical Services Manager at Frazer. With nearly 18 months under his belt in the role, Graeme reflects on his experiences so far:

“It has certainly been fun. My primary goal is to support colleagues across our network of branches, sharing my technical and product knowledge to ensure customers receive the information and solutions their projects require. It's a dynamic role that involves a wide range of tasks from delivering training sessions to meeting with suppliers, looking at technical drawings and supporting staff with information and knowledge. My job is varied and I’m always here to help.”

Graeme’s value has been felt throughout the business, and many colleagues have enlisted his help or attended training sessions under his lead. Area Sales Manager, Mark Tanner has collaborated with Graeme on a number of projects since he joined, and says:

“Graeme is a real asset to this business. I would class myself as an experienced salesman, but Graeme’s knowledge far trumps my own. He is able to give us the information we need when we need it and removes any mystique of who to talk to. This is crucial in our business. As a solutions provider, this is exactly what customers come to expect – fast, accurate and appropriate information from people who really understand the projects and challenges they are dealing with. His knowledge and rapport with manufacturers are second to none, saving vital time and energy when dealing with swift enquiries.”

As a newly created job at Frazer, part of Graeme’s role has involved visiting our 23 branches to drive awareness of the support he can offer. Whether it's helping new starters understand the sales process, or supporting experienced sales staff with complex technical enquiries, Graeme has been making sure he’s on hand to help. Lillie Blyler, Sales Specialist at Frazer Kings Lynn expands:

“Graeme has been really useful to the branch. Whether he’s helping with technical enquiries or supporting new starters, his experience and expertise are invaluable. He is particularly knowledgeable when dealing with complex, technical drawings, an area that can be confusing to some with less experience so having Graeme on hand to explain and read anything we get in is fantastic.

“We have also leveraged his knowledge to help our new starters. He knows the whole process of a sale from start to finish and has extensive knowledge of sites and manufacturers. In inductions, this is invaluable. He’s also really friendly and approachable and all our sales staff have benefitted from his visit. His tech talks and manufacturer initiatives have also been very interesting and beneficial for our teams. Enabling us to better understand the product to boost sales and our own technical expertise.”
